Rick is originally from Sioux City, Iowa where in his late teens and early twenties, played professionally in several bands, most notably 'Born Hungry'. He later joined the Air Force and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Rick often jokes that he "Joined the Air force to see the world and went 100 miles south".
While in the Air Force he attended the Engineering College at the University of Nebraska ("Go Cornhuskers"). He later transferred to Bellevue University where he received his under graduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration and Management.
Upon leaving the Air Force, he was employed in the Investment Division of a local insurance company. during his time with this company he received his Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") designation from the Association for Investment Management and Research.
He was offered an opportunity to move to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he currently resides with his wife and son. His son, Nate, is also a musician and has recently released his own CD titled 'Cooper-ation'. His son has his own website 'Cooper-ation.com', Rick is proud of his son and hopes you will visit his son's site and enjoy his music as well.
After many years of building his career and raising his son, Rick as revived his passion for music and has created a small compilation of his songs.
